DR. ANGIE MCCARTNEY
Angela Lucia McCartney was born in Liverpool UK in November of 1929. She married her first husband Eddie in 1956 and daughter Ruth was born in February 1960. Sadly, Angie was widowed in ’62, and in ’64, her old friends Mike and Bette introduced her to their Uncle Jim McCartney. They married in November and spent 12 loving years together, with Angie and Ruth at his side when he passed over to the great tea dance in the sky in March of 1976.
Angie’s life has always revolved around tea, from surviving WW2, to celebrating the announcements of #1 chart hits with friend and frequent house-guest John Lennon over breakfast at Rembrandt, the Liverpool home in the 60’s. Today, she’s as feisty as ever.
ANDY BABUICK
Andy Babiuk is an American musician, author, consultant, and owner of Andy Babiuk’s Fab Gear in Fairport, New York. He is a founding member and bassist of the supergroup The Empty Hearts and is also a longtime member and current frontman of The Chesterfield Kings. Babiuk is the author of Beatles Gear: All the Fab Four’s Instruments from Stage to Studio (2001) and Beatles Gear – The Ultimate Edition (2015).
He is a staff consultant to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as to auction houses in New York, London and Los Angeles. Andy also owns and operates the guitar shop Andy Babiuk’s Fab Gear which is located in Rochester New York
BRIAN SOUTHALL
Beatles insider Brian Southall began writing about music in the 1960s on a local newspaper before graduating to the likes of Melody Maker and Disc. From there he pursued a thirty year career in the record business with A&M, Tamla Motown, EMI (where he was Head of Press and dealt with the Beatles’ solo projects) and Warner Music. His first book—The Official History of Abbey Road Studios—was published in 1982 and he also wrote Northern Songs, The Rise and Fall of EMI Records, Sex Pistols: 90 Days at EMI (Omnibus Press), Beatles Memorabilia: The Julian Lennon Collection (Goodman), Jimi Hendrix: Made in England (Red Planet Publishing), and more. He lives in England.
BRUCE SPIZER
Bruce Spizer has written twelve critically acclaimed books about the Beatles and is internationally recognized as an expert on the Beatles. Bruce has given presentations for the Grammy Museum, the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and is also a regularly featured speaker at Beatles conventions. Bruce serves as a consultant on Beatles projects for Universal Music Group, Capitol Records, and Apple Corps, Ltd.
CHUCK GUNDERSON
Chuck Gunderson (Washington, Utah) was raised in San Diego, California, the site of the Beatles’ eighth stop on the 1965 North American tour. He was too young to attend the show, but he fondly recalls his older siblings spinning the records of the Fab Four as he grew up, which perked a life-long love for the band. He has worked in the outdoor advertising industry most of his life, although his true passion is history. He holds two degrees in history – a BA from San Diego State University and an MA from the University of San Diego. Having published a few articles over the years, Chuck turned his sights to researching and writing this epic two-volume set on the history of the Beatles’ North American tours of 1964 to 1966. Chuck is married to Christina, and they are the parents of four children, each a self-described Beatles fan.
JUDITH KRISTEN
Judith Kristen (1948 – ) Judith was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. Life was not always easy, and, after some very rough starts and stops, Judy became a best-selling author, animal rescuer, international humane education teacher, and a very happy Citizen of the World. All of Judith’s books will find a way into your heart – and then stay there for a long, long time after the book has been lovingly placed back up on the shelf.
MICHAEL SETH STARR
Michael Seth Starr (Northern New Jersey) is the TV Editor for The New York Post, where he’s written about television for the past twenty years. He is a native of Northern New Jersey, and has authored biographies of Peter Sellers, Art Carney, Joey Bishop, Bobby Darin, Raymond Burr and Redd Foxx. And no – he is not related to Ringo Starr.
PETER VINCE
Peter Vince (originally named Peter Robert Vince) was a distinguished English sound engineer, producer, and operations manager at Abbey Road Studios. Vince was born in Fulham, London, in July 1942 and received his education at Munster School and St Clement Danes Grammar School.
Vince began his career as an engineer at Abbey Road Studios—then known as EMI Studios—in April 1962. Over his career, he expanded his role to include producer and authored the book Abbey Road: The Story of the World’s Most Famous Recording Studios, which he co-wrote with Allan Rouse and Brian Southall. His engineering work spanned a diverse range of artists, including The Seekers, Olivia Newton-John, Cliff Richard & The Shadows, The Beatles, The Hollies, The Zombies, The Spinners, Benny Hill, Maria Callas, Beverly Sills, Nino Rota, and Joe Loss. He also contributed to numerous London cast recordings, such as The Good Companions, Singin’ in the Rain, The Hunting of the Snark, Destry Rides Again, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, and Man of La Mancha. Notably, Man of La Mancha earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Engineered Recording in 1969.

Steve Matteo is the author of Act Naturally: The Beatles On Film (Backbeat/Globe Pequot/Rowman and Littlefield), Let It Be (33 1/3/Bloomsbury) and Dylan (Union Square & Co.). He recently contributed to The Beatles in Context, which was published by Cambridge University Press.
He is Contributing Editor with The Vinyl District and has written for such publications as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, New York magazine, Time Out New York, Rolling Stone, Spin, Rock’s Back Pages, Relix, Goldmine, Interview, Elle, Cinema Retro, Citizen Truth, Literary Hub and Salon. He has worked for Pete Townshend of the Who in various capacities for Left Field Services, Towser Tunes and Trinifold. His radio career includes working at WLIR-FM, WNYT and FM Odyssey and he often appears on radio, including on the Sirius XM Volume Channel, Q104, Joe Johnson’s Beatle Brunch, Talk More Talk: A Solo Beatles Videocast, 21st Century Radio, WAAM, WFUV, WUSB, WPPB and WHPC and television in his capacity as a music journalist and an author.
For nearly twenty years he worked in book publishing and public relations as a Publicity Manager for Barron’s and Publicity Director for Finn Partners. He has lectured on Bob Dylan at the New School for Social Research in New York and journalism at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He holds a B.F.A. in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology.
TERRY CRAIN
Terry lives in Murphysboro, Illinois, with his wife, Linda. He has two sons, Eric and Ryan.He is the author of NEMS and the Business of Selling Beatles Merchandise in the U.S. 1964-1966, now in its second edition. His new book, Copyrighting The Beatles, is a three-volume series that chronicles over 900 Beatles and Beatles-related copyrights from 1964 to 1966. He is retired from John A. Logan College, where he was the Dean for Student Services. He worked at the college for over 31 years in the Student Services division, where he helped thousands of students with their college endeavors.
His educational career has spanned over 35 years in total.The author has followed The Beatles and early rock ‘n roll since he first saw the band on the Ed Sullivan television show in February 1964. Since then, the group and early rock n’ roll have been a passion. Craine also co-hosts several YouTube interview programs, and administers the Facebook sites ‘NEMS Memorabilia,’ ‘I Feel Fine,’ and ‘Fab Gear – the Sixties,” along with Instagram and Twitter companion sites for “NEMS Memorabilia.”
JUDE SOUTHERLAND KESSLER
Jude Southerland Kessler, an accomplished scholar and author from Alexandria, Louisiana, is renowned for her in-depth exploration of John Lennon’s life through her comprehensive nine-volume biography series, The John Lennon Series. With degrees in English and history and a master’s degree in English, Kessler’s extensive research and teaching background have significantly shaped her work. The first title Kessler released was Shoulda Been There (c.2008), meticulously covers key periods of Lennon’s life and The Beatles’ career, reflecting the band’s rise to fame and their cultural impact. Her notable volumes include Shivering Inside (2010) and She Loves You (2014), with recent additions such as Should Have Known Better (2018) and Shades of Life, Part One (2021), focusing on pivotal years in the 1960s.
Beyond her writing, Kessler actively engages with the Beatles community through various roles, including chairing symposiums and festivals, and participating in public speaking and podcasting. Kessler’s current bi-monthly podcast with Beatles people is “Tell Me Why” on her Tell Me Why YouTube channel. Her bi-monthly webinar, “Focal Points,” and her co-hosting of the podcast “She Said She Said” further showcase her dedication to Beatles scholarship. Kessler also offers Zoom presentations and continues to tour the U.S., demonstrating her commitment to preserving and celebrating the legacy of John Lennon and The Beatles.
